Doc Joseph Sinda was the Publicity Promotion Director at Warner Brothers Pictures, Inc., Burbank, CA. 

He designed and implemented new concepts for film and record advertising. Managed all graphic activities which included press books, posters, hard and paper-back artwork, and advertising.

Joseph Sinda has a long history in the Recording Industry and associated himself with Elton John, Elvis Presley, Beatles, Apple Records, Apple Boutique, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, The Dave Clark Five, Herman's Hermits and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

The great thing about working in Hollywood is that, when you're lucky, at times you come across people with an access to the business that is simply phenomenal.
Joseph P. Sinda is one such person. Currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sinda Entertainment Group, a full services company representing artists, writers, directors, producers, financial and distribution corporations. He's done just about everything in the entertainment business, including being Publicity and Administration Director for Warner Brothers.

He developed the concept of "VIP" tours at Warner Brothers, coordinated and created the concept of "First Run Feature Films" on an airline (TWA) while at Warner Brothers, and was Executive Producer on the video, "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" with Michael Jackson, Joe Jackson, and Quincy Jones.

All in all, he's worked on over 200 albums and CD's, including the soundtracks for Saturday Night Fever, Dirty Dancing and Godzilla (1998) which shipped double platinum.

The list of films he helped market including such classics as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Camelot, Dirty Harry, Enter the Dragon, The Exorcist, Godzilla(1998), Star Wars, Superman, and The Wild Bunch.

There's this thing in Hollywood. Once people know they can trust you and that you're effective at what you do, the door is always open. When people have stories to tell like Joe Sinda, people are eager to pick up the phone to talk to him, and he uses that to his advantage. "As a manager," he told me, "I do favors for producers. They owe me, so when I call in that favor and collect, I get my client involved with a film." Of course, you have to really impress him to become a client. "I'm all about style no matter what the story may be," he said. "If I like you and your writing, I tell you. I'm blunt."

Joe shared with me a story about a very famous actor that he recently advised to take most of his salary from gross profit participation starting with dollar one at the box office (something John Wayne, another friend, had done).
When the first check came back triple the size of the actor's previous front mega-salary, the actor was stunned and he's been working that way ever since. You don't make moves like this, gain an upper hand in Hollywood, unless you find someone who thoroughly understands all the nooks and crannies of how the system works and can negotiate your best interests.

Personal Trivia:

I spoke for Lucille Ball, Ida Lapino and Betty Davis for Women in Film Organization Beverly Hills/Hollywood Chapter, previously, conducted Interviews for Armed Services Radio trained and tutored by Bob Hope.

I was the youngest child alternate for the Feature Film Starring Bob Hope. 'The Seven Foyes". as an actor / tap dancer. He encouraged me to be a Spin Doctor.

I worked with The Beatles and helped John Lennon with the song "Back in The U.S.S.R.", Also Magical Mystery Tour. I was involved in Apple Records and Managed Semon and Mariaka who really did the Best design of Sargent Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band and designed and made all their costumes and clothes.

Consulted and helped Arrange for Billy "Piano Man" Joel for His Russian Musical Cultural Exchange Tours. I also worked on "THE WALL" by Pink Floyd in LA, NY, UK and Berlin. Brought in Choral Group from Russia for Berlin 200 Members.

I did Financial Planning for Robert Zimmerman Aka: Bob Dylan. Helped Coordinate "The Blood On The Tracks Tour"....

I managed Simon and Maraca they were part of the recording group "The Fool" on A & M Records. They designed and made all wardrobe, costumes and did the Original Graphics for the Cover and Back Cover artwork for "Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" The label removed a few controversial world figures. They gave credit to another Englishman. It was so Political. I got to film the making of that record with the photographer : Karl Ferris. They used our persona for the feature film " Blow UP" and I was involved in Magical Mystery Tour...
When they first came to America and Played The Hollywood Bowl. There was a Private Garden Party after the concert. I introduced the Fab Four to Rita Hayworth and two  daughters.

 There were others including Rick Nelson. The Song, "Lovely Rita" came from that meeting. Also Rick's "Garden Party". Which became a Signature Song and Standard for Rick.
